The Rev. Pauline Samuel is a proud graduate of Yale Divinity School where she earned her Masters of Divinity. While in seminary she served as Vice President of the Yale Black Seminarians and also served as Co-Chair of the Annual Class Gift Campaign. Mother Samuel is excited to be serving as our Priest-in-Charge at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Springfield Gardens. Mother Samuel is a Brooklyn native of Caribbean decent. She has a great love for books, is a self-proclaimed foodie and is an avid football fan.

Recently there have been reports of Zoom meetings being hacked by individuals with the intent of showing harmful and insensitive materials. In an effort of reduce these security breaches to meetings, all meetings will require a password.
For our weekly Morning Payer Zoom calls you will now be required to enter a password.

St. John's is entering Phase B in returning to in-person worship. We will have a preliminary in-person worship service on Sunday, September 27th at 9:00am.
Upcoming In-Person Worship:
Sunday, November 1st - All Saints Day and Baptism
Sunday, November 15th - Gratitude Sunday and Baptism
We invite you to register to attend this service as seating is limited to 25% of the building's capacity, which means that 20 people will be allowed to be seated in the pews for service.
Registration will be on a first come first serve basis. There are two ways to register:

As part of the online registration you will be required to complete the COVID-19 risk assessment form. Your registration will not be complete unless you answer the risk assessment questions.

Leave your name and phone number as a voice message. You will be required to complete the COVID-19 risk assessment when you arrive at church on the 27th.
Check-in on Sunday will begin at 8:30am and persons will be allowed inside one at a time. Upon arrival at church everyone will be subject to a temperature scan and will be asked if they are experiencing a cough or sore throat.
Everyone is required to wear a mask or face covering that covers their nose and mouth at all times, unless otherwise indicated. All other CDC guidelines will apply.
