WHO WE ARE
Every woman who belongs to the Episcopal Church is a member of the ECW/Women's Ministry. The purpose of this organization is to assist the women of the Episcopal Church to carry on Christ's work in the world and to take their place in the life, governance and worship of the church. The Calendar year for our ministry runs from Sept. thru June, with a 2 month summer break in July & August. We participate for the spiritual growth, fellowship, service, education, leadership training, and mission focus. From time to time we take on other projects. No special invitation is necessary.
WHAT WE DO
We use our gifts to serve one another and to glorify God with our talents and treasure. We are the outreach arm of St. John's, Springfield Gardens. We are about the mission of the Church; to feed the hungry, tend to the sick & shut-ins, care for the homeless, and reach out to those in need.
HOW WE MISSION
We meet at the beginning of each year (the new year begins in October) to review and vote on outreach programs we will be providing outreach donations to. The table below outlines a list of outreach programs our Ministry will be donating funds to for the New Year.
WHERE WE MEET
In the Parish Hall (undercroft) of St. John's Episcopal Church, Springfield Gardens, NY. Following the 9:00 AM service

On the second Sunday of every month except July and August (summer months/holiday)

International Brunch & Nickel Social
The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who came out to support our annual International Brunch and Nickel Social! We had a packed house filled with great company, great food and great prizes. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
